Lafarge’s White Natural Hydraulic Lime 5 is a strong, natural hydraulic lime designed for heavy-duty applications, particularly suited to exposed locations and load-bearing masonry. With a higher strength and natural durability, it’s ideal for traditional builds and conservation projects where robustness is key.

Applications:

  • Masonry construction: Perfect for building and bedding stone or brick in high-load areas.

  • Exterior pointing and rendering: Performs exceptionally well in exposed, coastal, or damp conditions.

  • Restoration work: Ideal for historic and heritage buildings that require a stronger lime mix compatible with original materials.

  • Repairs: Suitable for repairing old lime-based mortars, especially on harder substrates like granite or dense stone.

Storage and Handling: store in a dry, covered area. Avoid exposure to moisture to prevent premature setting. Use within 6 months of purchase for best performance. Once mixed with water, use immediately - natural hydraulic lime begins to set on contact with water, so only prepare what you can use in a short time. Protect fresh work from rapid drying, frost, and rain for at least 72 hours.

Lime is caustic - visit for H&S page more information on safe handling practices.
